Gotsume clan

Kekei genki, ability's or styles.: The clan members possess a special dojutsu, created by people kown as the ‘Disciples’ . This dojutsu is a forcefully mutated version of the Byakugan using gene splicing re-search stolen from nyu-Konohagakure. The dojutsu allows the eyes to turn chakra into light from the whole light spectrum (sending and receiving light from the eye) for many unique uses. This Dojutsu was created in efforts to rival the Sharringan. The Deciples acquired both an hyuga clan bodies for experimentation during the 5^th great ninja war. A lot of the byakugan abilities were lost but in therir place new were born.

Element: All members are diverse in Futon element and mainly use it in conjunction with their weapons.

Dress: All clan members were their sai atached to their belt or waist, as well as were a bow around their torso and a basket of arrows on their back or from the back of their belt. Most genin and chunnin were protective plates, sown into gloves, on the inside of the forearms. Clan members are free to dress as they please as long as the clan symbol is visible upon themselves. Most were a cloth with the symbol on it. The symbol is an eagle claw with five talons.

Traditions: members of the clan are brought up by the teachings of the Disciples. The disciples follow the work of Orochimaru and Kabuto and consider them as Gods. The clan is often refered to by outsiders as the second coming of jashin. Though the disciples donnot embrace death instead it is their lifelong enemy.

Clan history: after the fifth great ninja war the religious movement known as “the Disciples” set out to create a shinobi technique that would equal the power of the sharringan. This took many years of research before it was achieved. Sakurai Gotsume was the first successful test subject and the person to start the clan. A maid by trade she was used as a test subject because of a rare blood type she possessed (b-) making her a suitable candidate. The Desciples did not put Sakurai onto the battle field. Instead they were more conserned with being able to pass on her abilities through birth. It would now seem that only clan members with the same rare bloodtype can ever use ryoushigan. And enemies with the same bloodtype are only capable of stealing it either.

Stage 1, 1st tomoe: Unlockabe through training with clan members usually at genin rank. (C-rank technique)
The Eye of clan members have an increased number of layers to the eye. This gives the shinobi an increased range of vision though unfortunately, the eye could only focus to a range of 300m before normal vision became impaired and a max distance of 1000m (Much like a camera lens). This leaves the shinobi vulnerable at close range when looking at great distances. this stage greatly increases hand eye co-ordination.

Stage 2, 2nd tomoe: Usually unlocked during chuunin level. (B-rank tehcnique)
Mutating the Byakugan's ability to see chakra within living animals. the eye was forcefully made to allow the eye to see the whole light spectrum as well as send light from the shinobi's eye. this ability works much the same way as a "Real life" radar. The eye emits different types of light which reflects of enemy and bounces back to the eye. infra red light allows heat vision which can see through rooms and most other objects, uv light allows night vision and will also highlight blood even when washed away. and gama light allows the user to see skeletal structures of enemies through rooms and most other objects. these abilities give clan members advanced tracking skills. Unlockable after 150 posts in min of jounin rank.

Stage 3 Satoro Ryoushigan (enlightened hunters eye): known to be unlocked by jounin (each technique learnt after the first requiers +50 posts). (S-Rank techniques)
This gives the eye a far greater control over sending light from the eyes. four techniques have been unlocked in this third and final stage. unconsciousness occurs to user when a combination of 5 of any of the techniques are used in any one battle. Only unlockable after 200 posts through fighting an Uchiha with Mangekyou Sharringan.


-Kusanagi Ningen; Human Grass Mower.
S-rank Genjutsu, Supplementary, short-long range (0-150m)
user performs 4seals and uses eyes to turn chakra to light.instead of sending a small amount of light from a particular point in the light spectrum (which allows stage 2 abilities), the eye emits a large amount of light from the entire light spectrum. anyone looking in the direction of the user will be caught in a powerful genjutsu (the enemy will see a bright white flash), eye contact is essential. the enemy will be temporarily blinded for a for 2 posts when = rank or -1 rank, and 1 post when 1 rank, also delaying the information going from enemy eye's to brain, causing delayed reactions of 1 post after blindness. unconsciousness occurs to any shinobi -2 ranks or lower for 3 posts. this also allows the shinobi to attack a weakened foe or flee unnoticed. -10 eye dammage

- Yasakani no Chishio; Blood Necklace.
S-rank ninjutsu, offensive, mid-long range (50-200m)
user must draw a blood ink necklace around neck then performs 4 seals and concentrates chakra into eyes, for 2 posts. the chakra is then released in an explosive lazer light from the eye. max usage limit 3 per battle. -15 eyedammage

- Seidou Sunshin no jutsu; Bronze Body Flicker Technique.
S-rank ninjutsu, Space/Time jutsu, sort-long range (0-600m)
user performs 4seals and draws mass amounts of chakra to eyes. the eyes then use the chakra to turn the body to light. this allows instant movement limited only by the users range of vision. this is a extremely fast movement not actual body flicker like the 4th hokage. user appears to look like a golden/bronze ball of light that only sharringan users can see the speed of movement. -5 eye dammage

- Shunohako; Ark of the Lord.
S-rank Barrier ninjutsu, defensive, short-mid range
This technique uses the eyes to ‘project’ a barrier of light from the eyes. This barrier is made from nothing but light and chakra, this means it is only effective against chakra bassed attacks. Any living person can move freely through its walls. The technique appears as a large wooden looking boat that surrounds the user and anyone within range. -10 eye dammage


Sacred artifact or weapon: All members use dual sai and bow and arrows given to them at child hood. The clan leader weilds a bow made by the disciples, it is made from ivory encrusted in gold and is said to be aable to store chakra within it much like a reserve tank of fuel.

So this is an enhanced verson of the byakugan?

this is just a mutation. its running off the idea that the sharringan is a mutated version of byakugan. wouldn't be fair to keep all the traits so they are simmilar but very different.
